In a case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted ( putting a dent in the rear door on my last trip)I have fitted a camera and audio sensors to the back of my Commer in the hope the noise will wake me up before damage is done.The kits that are on the market are cheap $40 and easy to fit ,altough the hole saw they provide was never meant to be used on Commer gauge steel.
 
Useful mod - I like it:)
I reversed into a dirty big lamp post on a garage forecourt (my old van not Harvey) and the rear quarter bumper panel fell off:I

Some of those cheap hole saws are utter rubbish, one i had lost all its teeth going through 1.5mm aluminium [V]
Good idea though :)
