Knobs

When reversing onto the drive the other day I pulled the outer sleeve of the gear knob off. Ours resembles the 'truck stop' on a pair of roller boots (and is bright green). Does anyone have a picture of what one should look like. I did see Panky had adapted a nice one he found at an autojumble to take an overdrive switch but I think for now we will leave the switch on the dashboard.

Over enthusiastic hand manipulation of a knob will often result in the end coming off.

The original is a simple black ball held to the gearstick on a taper.
