Not a particularly productive day [xx(]
Firstly we changed to richer needles to be safe and see if it affected the 3500 rpm flat spot, then did a CO check, which was a bit rich at 6.8% so fiddled with the carbs and set it at 3.8%. Then Did a no load run starting at 60mph and creeping up. The dyno man listened for detonation with a stethoscope whilst i kept an eye on speed and CO reading and Rich acted as fire/smoke/disaster spotter.
It hits 3500 and starts to go really harsh and misfire so we stopped and scratched our heads. The CO reading was constant, so it's not going weak as i thought it was. Dyno man suspected the Megajolt map so we spent the rest of the day trying to get a laptop to talk to it, and got nowhere [

!] It turns out that the lead was faulty and not having another one we ended up aborting the mission

I'm suspicious of the crank sensor mounting bracket and think it may be harmonic resonance causing it to flex/vibrate at a certain frequency and upsetting the signal.
Hoping to get back again next week to try again.
He did say that the driving force on the rollers was pretty high, so that's a good sign [^]
And we also found out that he's had a couple of darksiders on there and the best one was 65 bhp

Nice hat hunny [:X]
