Well. done a good 60-70 miles without any issues whatsoever, apart from the roof coming open twice [}:)]
It drives really well, not too hard but VERY controlled, the Toyota dampers stop the front end bouncing like a space hopper, and the 5 link allows some serious cornering. Very flat and stable without hardly any body roll, but not too hard. Gave it a couple more clicks on the rear coilover damping as it was topping out slightly. Drives like a much more modern vehicle. Temp stays stable, no sign of overheating, in fact it runs colder than STD. Seats are really comfy :p. Gearchange is better, still not perfect but it's not needed that much, 2 gears would be plenty :D Happily pulls away in 2nd or 3rd and will pull like a train in 5th from 20mph, cruises about 70 at 3000rpm. Easily goes off the clock, but i'm not pushing it until the engine is tuned in. Yet to go over 3500rpm :p
Biggest problem is the lack of weight in the rear causes the back wheels to lock and spin up very easily. I would have gone alot further if i had more fuel :(
Traction control makes it quicker ;)

depends how you source it ;) reclamation yards for example
I almost bought a massive lump of slate... until they told me it was a mortuary floor which explained the slope and the hole for a drain

Quite clear to see the roof catch problem [xx(]

All it needed was a decent amount of lip [^]

It's now impossible to get it to unhook without lifting the catch. I tried hanging on the roof and pushing the hook up at the same time and it's nowhere near coming off on it's own ;)

For added traction you could do what my Dad used to do in the snow - stand my mum on the back step! ;)
