Having a lathe is an absolute godsend, couldn,t do without all 3 of them :D
The one thing i am screaming for is a milling machine, i sold mine when i moved, so i could get a better one..............and didn,t [}:)][V]

If you are planning to race the van it could be worth going for the P6 rover rear axle cos it can be mounted on leaf springs and it has a de dion tube which makes it semi independent. Should reduce axletramp considerably and give you a much faster start. Will also improve the handling on the curly parts of the track. ;)
 
I'll be honest Tim I know very little on this subject my man ( Tim aka racer ) is sorting everything And on the racing side of things I'm only going to run it on the 1/4 mile for a bit of fun I'm not taking to to serious as is stll want to use it as a camper first .Thanx for your advise tho :0)

i remember when i first joined this club about four years ago and the was an old thread which had a few pictures of a man who was building a proper space frame drag strip racer using a commer van. does anyone else remember it the picture where taken on his driveway. it had huge back wheels on it and it looked the dogs nuts.im sure one of the moderatores could dig the pics outs.;):p
