Ready for some floor boards, not sure whether to insulate the floor?

hi looks amazing!!!!
what did you use for the foil on the walls?

I love this interior. Got an empty van coming to me in Oct and this is inspiring, hope you don't mind some blatant idea theft, love the wardrobe curve. was thinking of white myself but was going to try and get this kitchen shop in Sheffield to wrap them to get that proper shiny finish. Would be very interested in what you did use for the foil walls, wanting to insulate everything for heatcool and sound deadening wondering if it could be the stuff, really keen on something that will fit tight and sticks well so won't trap moisture behind it, this looks perfect.

Looks like the same stuff we used which was all purpose stuff from B&Q. £15 a roll;)

I got the insulation from a guy on e-bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Van-insulation-camper-van-Caravan-Double-Foil-insulation/271008437041?ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1&ih=017&category=36798&cmd=ViewItem That should be the link, but it looks like you got it cheaper from B&Q scott !! :( And i've glued it on with spray glue. I've painted the interior metal with rustoleum in a satin finish.
Glad you're liking the interior and i don't have a problem with anyone using the idea i'll take it as a complement :D

Did have a result with my lights btw, a nice guy from Wipac sent me new retaining bezels for both sets of lights and also sent me a complimentary set of outer rims for the 7" lights as they had gone to s**t aswell!! :D chuffed.

Thanks for that, sure I will but doubt will look quite so slick. How did you get the curves on the wardrobe? is it an 'off the shelf' piece, loving that touch and want to use it for the bench end also.

Hi Jim,
I've used "flexible MDF" to make the corners, it has lots of slits cut across the width so it forms the curves. I got it from wickes but it is expensive from them ( http://search.wickes.co.uk/search#ts=ajax&method=and&w=flexible%20mdf&isort=score ), that should be the link, they are small sheets, You can get them in bigger sheets but nobody by me does it :(.
The cupboards have been a right pain to make tbh but hopefully they will be worth the hastle, the mdf doesn't like to be formed to that tight a cure so consequently has been quite difficult to fix. If you want any pics of the frame work sending over give me a shout (must warn you I'm not a cabinet maker by any means !!) so i'm sure yours will come up as good if not better than mine:)

Sorry for late reply, missed yours somehow. Never heard of that so I'll take a look at some of it. Would love some pics sending if you could, got some plans of an auto sleeper interior sent, I was going to base it on that but it doesn't have the framework so would be v helpful. My email is [email protected] tbh I won't be doing it till winter as the van is being fixed up at present. Can't wait to see yours finished reckon will be a minter.

A small update. Been beavering (slowly) away at the cupboards over the past weeks/months, and managed to get the sink and wardrobe unit pretty much finished, the cooker unit is next up for a coat or six of paint! All the best to you all for christmas and the new year.

Cheers! Scott.
