Just Like Buses these Commers

Ahhhh lol i was wondering what that was, at first i thought in might be a foot pump for the washers like in my escort but then found the washers on the dash, lol. Cool thanks .

Brake lights will stay on if the hand-brake is on.

Those high beam footswitches are a mare on stilts aren't they HAHAHA. I haven't heard of a single Commer owner that thought it was ACTUALLY for the lights..!

Nice one Radar;-) but 68mph??? Woosters man go easy HAHA!

There is a small switch underneath, attatched to the handbrake cable. This puts the brake lights, on with the handbrake. Occasionally they seize up in the on position. They can be dismantled to free it up, or just remove the little chain ;)

Been to view a chamois sport today and very tempted to make the call, a little gem infact and a similar price of a good commer, though if a pb was to come along..... sometimes its better not have the choice!

You sure it's a genuine Chamois Sport? One of the rarest 'Imps' IIRC. Worth checking it out on the Imp Club forum before parting with the readies. theimpclub.co.uk

Hi Baz,
It's not a gen sport no, just badged up with an 875 sport engine. It's got the nice binnacle with the four dials too, which I think was from the sport?

Sounds nice. As you know, with Imps you should buy according to the condition of the body mostly, unless it's a particularly special one. Mechanical bits are easy and cheap to come by in standard form and the Rallye dash is available from a couple of places.

Got any pics - more details?

Hi Gents and Ladies :)

Some pics of the first Commer, with kids, Just mine in photo's but earlier today the Van had around 8 children in the back and a crowd of my friends. But I may be selling this ( SHOCK )[:0] [:0] well as you know I have another coming in 2 weeks and as you can see i'm out of space on the drive, The wife reckons i'm being greedy by having 2 and reckons with lots of other people wanting a Van i should sell, she knows how frustrated it got for me looking for one.
Not 100% yet but I have a friend who builds engines and Gearboxes and he has agreed to build me a slightly modified engine and reconditioned gearbox for one of my Commers, and i could use the sale proceeds from one for this.

Kids seem to like it!

Like the blinds, exactly what I want for Peggy as I don't like the nets she's got.
