Perhaps there's a serial number stamped on it somewhere, otherwise you may have to just take a chance at the risk of a minor brake imbalance. :D

You LUCKY-LUCKY people.:D:D:p:p;)[^][8D]
I have alway's had a thing about the TS3 engine [^]What a lovely sound they make, especially at full chat:p:pUsed to hear the commer brick lorries coming up the road from a good 1/2 mile away when i was a kid staying at my aunts near Bletchley. The sound still makes the hairs on me neck stand on end;);)

I was only talking to one my customers about TS3's the other day. He was telling me that he worked on them a lot when he was a young diesel fitter years ago and recons they are a terrific engine, the only problem was the noise. Apparently they have very high noise levels inside the cab which a lot of drivers found unexceptable.
I doubt they had much sound deadening in those cabs back in the day though and with modern materials should be a lot better.;)

The TS3-engines have soundtrack to die for, no doubt about that at all !

Although, I have heard that they often gave up the ghost after relatively short mileages. Not NSU RO80 milages, mind, but still relatively short. But the rumours needn't be true, of course :D

Congratulations on your purchase, Tim. You're brave man !

Wow! Now thats what you call a project!! Nice one Tim, looking forward to your progress reports:D[8D][8D]:D

Spare a Commer Guv?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

I found this. My Dad used to drive for T&L and the Commer tankers when they were around before moving onto the Seddon Akkies. This brings back so many memories, I can just remember going to one of the Driver of the Year competitions.
There's an even nicer pic of a TS3 a couple of slides further on, keep going and there are a couple of background shots of PA/PB's and loads of fantastic trucks:)
