just a quick q

hi peeps, just been searching with regards to wheel swaps. i have read through and was debating either sd1 or pre 89 cherokee wheels. i know the stud patterns match but what about the center bore and offset? would they just bolt on with the appropriate ally bolts?

SD1 fit, but on the front you need spacers and bore out the centre of the wheel.

ah ok nice 1 mate. are there any that will just bolt on or would they all need to be modified in 1 way or another?

Jensen Interceptor will go straight on (Kermit) but are hard to find, P5 rostyles just need the stud holes taken up a size (i think).
SD1 alloys need centre opening and spacers and ideally longer studs too. :)

I don't know if this helps you but a long old time ago I had a Mk1 Escort with 8 inch wide alleycats on it. I used Rover SD1 series 1 rear wheel studs to mount the wheels, as they were much longer than the standard Escort ones

Does this mean that I could stick the Commer steel wheels on my SD1 series 1 ?

Would look sexy, I'm sure :D

Rover p5b rosyles fit on. Thats what i have on mine at the moment. Had to enlarge centre hole out a bit, enlarge stud holes and fit 5mm spacers, But they look cool.
