About time I start a "readers' rides" column, I think :I
Our Bluebird Highwayman was put into winter storage this afternoon. Now it sits comfy in a big barn, in a space which it will share with a load of modern motorhomes.
Left the centre of Oslo this morning, drove the camper to work, and caused quite a stir when I parked it outside the our GM head office. Had to provide a "guided tour" this afternoon.
Drove through some beautiful scenery on minor roads to the place where it will be hibernating until next spring. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and the camper turned heads everywhere. I had cleaned it last night, so that probably helped.. :I
Sorry to put it away now that I've finally got it over here, but the ice and salt [
!] will be here soon, so better get it inside before it is too late. Will visit the Bluebird in a couple of weeks to ensure that there is sufficient anti freeze on it, as cold winter lies ahead. That said, I'm actually pretty envious. I wish I could just go to sleep and wake up in spring - and just bypass this horribly cold and dark winter.
Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the spring ! [^]
