Jog by the seaside

It seems that since buying Jog at end of August last year it hasn't stopped raining. So with a bit of sunshine Jog has come out of hibernation and it's been great driving around Brighton. Here are a few photos of Jog does Brighton.

I have been renovating the inside so will follow with more photos.

Cheers Panky, I had a great day chugging along in the Downs and by the sea - obviously helped by the sunshine!

Hi Renaultivation - like the comment! Lulu...I was going to quickly explain but there is not really a quick way of doing it, so I'll get the ball rolling. Not sure how people will take to this, but i haven't kept the inside of the van traditional. It's been a long process but eventually all the original furniture will fade out. The inside is about 50% complete. So far I have insulated the inside, apart from the front - all of the sides and the pop top. New flooring, new bench...i will explain more in time.

You will have to have patience to see the eventual plan that i have in my head, but here is some of the pics in the meantime...

Thats looking really good I'm impressed with the work but moreso with the size of the garage that you're using, it's the thing that dreams are made of[8D]

Forgot to say that I also wish I had the skills to do what you and everyone else seem to be able to do, ah well I was a good fireman:):):D

It's a bit of a facade on myside, as it's my mates workshop and his cnc machine and skills in crafting it. You could say I had the plan, but wouldn't of been possible without my mates skills. www.setyard.co.uk.

Hi. Glad to see my old van is being well looked after. I love the first photo of it on the sea front (in Brighton?). One thing is certain, the proper mirrors I put on him make a lot of difference. Did you tackle the rotten roof side yet?

That looks like an excellent job[^] No one will criticise you for improving your van like this, it's to suit your needs and no one else's[8D] Hope you saved the original cabinets though;)

Don't worry about modifying the interior, but, like Panky, I would recommend saving the original cabinets as original Wanderer cabinets with timber facing must be very rare now (later models had formica).
I love the look of the new furniture.

Insulating the roof is a good idea, I well remember as a child, lying in the roof bunk with condensation dripping on me!

That beach hut pic is brilliant. Thats got postcard written all over it.!!

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

Had to sign in rather than lurk as usual just to say that these photos are excellent! Commers and Brighton, win win! :) What lens are you using?

Interior fabrication looks great too. Like the others said, make sure you save the old interior. Someone somewhere will be in crying need for it.

I'd place money on prime, just not whether its 50mm or lower :p
