Wish me luck guys n gals as I've booked jimmy in this Saturday for his first mot in over a decade. To say I'm nervous is an understatement:confused::eek:
 
Sure everything will be o.k, Chances are , if the m.o.t man is over 30, then his Dad probably owned one and he will be telling you tales of sunny days..........and.......before you know it he will be printing off the mot lol :D
 
I've had to put him through so as I can drive up to my works yard and make all the mess and noise up there (mardy arse neighbours lol). So I am trying to get away with the bare minimum. To be truthful I probably need a good 12 months to get him anything like

A few local shakedown runs panky me thinks to start, nothing to adventurous. The frustrating thing aussie commer is that you can insure your van but to get it on the road you need to tax it and even though it's free on mine (mine being on historic tax) you need the mot certificate to do so. All those weekends covered in rust and oil should slowly change to sand and suncream.
 
Last month the likeable young MoT tester was close to aborting my Commer's test when it refused to restart for him in the brake roller check, until
reminded that the engine does not need to be running when there is no servo fitted or needed.:rolleyes:
