Jessica's weekend

We went for a lovely trip with Jessica this weekend off to Ayr. We met up with Ruairidh and his friends (Hello!) with their Austin 7s just outside Loch Lomond. Great cars and top company!

We then popped over to Ayr to stay at Mrs MonkeyMan's friends caravan park which was pretty top. On sunday afternoon we met up with some friends for a barbie, then tootled home.

all in all a great cruise...

When I got back I found a bit of newspaper tucked in the dashboard....

Hey Rupert,

great to meet you and the family and of course Jessica...what time did you arrive in Ayr??

That campsite looks good, perhaps another A7 weekend venue...must get in touch with you and get more info.

Look forward to the next "unofficial" CommerVanFan (Scotland), meet up.

Cheers

R

What a great way to spend a weekend, Commers and new friends - can't be bad [^]

yeah it was top - spent all day today at work looking out of the window wondering how I could afford an Austin 7 :D

We got to the campsite at around 9pm, which was perfect really, just enough time for a quick snack - a glass of wine and off to bed. The kids were exhausted!

The website for the camp site is ..

There aren't very many free pitches as I think there are a lot of people who leave their caravans there for the whole season (I saw people mowing the lawn round their caravans?!?)

Admin - can we have a section for recommended sites please?

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend - sounds like Jessica did you proud - love the newspaper too.[^]

Had been thinking of starting a recommended campsite thread too, you could start a new topic and we can add any recommendations to the list;)
