Is this a 45D Distributor

Hi,

Checked and can't see any 25D markings and the outlet for the wire points towards it being a 45D but before I order some stuff I thought I'd see if anyone can confirm this is a 45D distributor. Just in case someone's fitted something odd!

Thanks Panky , didn't realise there was a 3rd option. That's saved me ordering the wrong bits!

Was going to order a Powerspark electronic ignition unit as a replacement for the points - time to check I can get them for that or look at swapping the whole thing out.

You can get a complete Morris Minor 25D Powerspark dizzy for about £60, I wonder if it will fit.
 
FWIW a Lucas 25D has much longer spring clips than the 45D. As Panky says, that looks like neither although the clips are closer to 45D length than 25D.
 
Just a quick update in case anyone else finds this post.

I had a niggling feeling having read that the Ducelliers generally had an external condensor and didn't recall seeing one. Revisited this today and couldn't see the condensor.

Took the distributor cap off and gained enough space to fit a phone camera round the back after spotting some markings. I bit of trial and error taking blind photos with the eventual upshot that it's a Lucas 45D

Well I never, sorry for putting you on the wrong track, never seen one with a cap like that - must be a late version.
 
The 45d is the one fitted to the dodge range of vans. You can fit a rover mini electronic ignition kit to it. The power spark ones ok but made very cheap. The luminition ones are much better quality but alot more expensive. I run a luminition mini one in mine.
