Is my 1725 high or low compression ?

As above really, how can I tell if my engine is high or low compression ?

It's on the chassis plate somewhere - assuming the original engine is still installed. Other than that it's very difficult in fact I've no idea:I I would suspect though that most later vans would be HC.

If you,re lucky and its a high comp engine, then its too low
I usually skim 2mm off the heads to get anywhere near decent C/R
