No, I want my first taste of you mad lot to be in a Commer, nothing more nothing less. 
This morning, as I was having a quick drink before heading off to help Andy I glanced up and noticed a large nasty wet patch on the kitchen ceiling, directly below the bathroom floor![:0]
I turned the water off and set off for Andy's.
Long story short, when I got back I pulled the panel off the bath and saw some crappy plumbing. Push-fit connectors had been used which is fine, but the pipe that pushes in is supposed to be straight. Some numpty had pushed a curved piece of pipe in one fitting which has been dribbling away for god knows how long.
I now know why the door always sticks, the floor below has been slowly swelling up.
Anyway, I bought a new, longer flexible tap hose thing and cut the offending pipe so it was straight, the longer hose making up the difference in length and taking care of the bend.
Re-fitted it all and no leaks
So now I can take a shower!
Cost me £7 in total. Now I have a fan heater going in there to help dry it out. Hope the floor drops a bit once it dries out.
Now what else was I doing today? .................................
Oh yeah! Getting ready for Commerfest!

Blowing exhaust - fixed
Temp sender unit - fitted and working - 84 degrees at 60 on the A41 earlier
Radio - working
AA card - safely located in wallet.
Looks like we're all ready to go - and for the first time Babs actually has everything working correctly.
Might even fit a charging circuit for the lesiure battery tonight.....

Getting very excited.
Pootle is clean and full of oil and water, fluids etc. Tyres will be pumped and petrol filled tomorrow, and best of all, i've just taken delivery of a new cover for the engine lid (well, it's the old fibreglass shell that a friend has wrapped in vinyl to match the new curtains).
I'm hoping she appreciates all this pampering and gets us there tomorrow.
