introductons

Hi,
I have a hankering for a commer camper!!! I have.just found this forum and you all seem a friendly bunch. What sort of prices are commers fetching? I am no stranger to tinkering with cars. The current fleet consists of a 1972 1275GT. A mini scamp and a mini hustler. The Gr, I restored, the scamp I built and the hustler has had lots of work. The current work going on in the garage is the building of a new mini engine, incorperating a mini block, along with a BMW k1200 twincam 16v head.
Hope to get to meet you guys sometime.

hi and welcome to the madhouse:D as panky says anything around the £1000-£1500 mark is going to require a decent amount of work and around the £3k mark a nice example:) good luck with the search;)

Give it a few years, then it will be Minis again :)

The "new" Mini :D Handles way better than the Corsas, that's for sure!

Am currently in the middle of a "hard sell" on the other half. SHe wants to go to Africa for new year. I am telling her that if we use the money for a commer instead, we can go touring the champagne region in France, Or got to Italy,...or Ireland. She is weakening!!!!!

You can seal the deal, by telling her she can spend many an hour sat at the roadside, enjoying the countryside, whilst waiting for the recovery truck :D;)

I think you would be lucky (or be Martin) to get a nice one for 3K these days.

Cheers
