Interior Pics needed please

Hello there and thanks for all of the warm welcomes received. The commer passed her MOT, Had her brakes freed and then spent 3 hours with the AA man as she broke down 5 miles later as she is running on 2 cylinders!!! Fab!!! I would like over the winter, to renew her woodwork as this has beome tired and somewhat warped over time and need the assistance of a local carpenter to put some quotes together, trouble is, I cannot readily access pics of internals of the vans. Can anyone help please? I would like some ideas of how to re design the layout and any tips that anyone may have picked up would be useful. Also, really cheeky but does anyone live in Gloucestershire that wouldnt mind me coming and peeking at a "real in the flesh commer" for some assistance. thanks, Zena

eh up Zena,
What conversion is your van? There are lots of different types so lots of different designs.

The most popular (and best ;)) is the autosleeper. (We have one incidentally). We have had ours for about a year and a half so far and I've come to the conclusion that Autosleeper have done an amazing job of designing the layout of the cupboards etc. so (as far as I'm concerned) if it aint broke don't fix it!

sorry about the drivel... have some piccies
here's Jessica (our van)

Hi there, thats great thanks. Sounds daft but I have no idea what conversion type mine is. I will try and upload some photos and see what you think.

A BIG welcome to Zena:D:D[8D]

There are so many different designs but the one BMM just showed you is most common and popular!

Don't be afraid to make your own design if that's what you want,,,,,nobody here will critisize or frown upon it. all we care about is another Commer receiving TLC and being on the road!!;);)

Here you go Zena - hope you don't mind my edit:I

looks interesting. do you have any exterior piccies? Often the most useful feature for identifying a conversion is the shape of the pop top if it has one.

The first 10 miles is the hardest... its all easy peasy from there on in.. My van arrived on the back of a trailer!

Your other half will come around, mark my words lol

By the time you have done 500 miles without him he will be chomping at the bit to join in:D:D:D

She was towed out of a hedge, so I guess I am expecting a lot. Here are some exterior shots of her!! She has a pop up roof which has leaky canvas sides and goes straight up, if that helps?

That hedge certainly made a good job of preserving it - it's gorgeous :p

Thanks very much. I am lucky that she has been kept so well, just need to get her running right, a little interior tlc over the winter with the help of coventry commer panels and she will be ready to roll. Thanks for your time, nice to chat and hope to meet you on the road (and not with an aa man)at some time.

Loving the colour[8D]

Don't understand why you are so bashfull, the van looks fantasidoby!!

Do you have a name for it yet[?][?]

to my partners horror, I like Chrissie!!! she has charactor and I think we will have a long and beatiful relationship. Nice story, my mum and dad had a commer when I was small and my dad loves to tell me that I travelled to the isle of wight and back on the engine, in a baby seat!!! needless to say, they are quite nostalgic, event if hubby wants to evict me as a menace!!!

Zena

I wouldn't worry - Commers are infectious and he is about to catch the virus :)

Harvey the RV

Unlike the MASSIVELY over scare mongered bird flu, the Commer bug will infect you forever and there is NO antidote[8D]

It gets worse - you find you need more than one - it never stops :I

Really stunning van :D wonder why the lettering is so close together, not seen that before

Cazz...Is just Commer mad, and talks a load of nonsense
