ok so now that dolly is on the road i just need to do some tidying up ect then i can refit the interior. i need to replace my wooden window frames [B)] am i right to assume it is just hardwood for the frames[?]
after that i will be lining the floor:I, im intending on using marine ply but what thickness do i need[?] also i was going to treat it but would i do better to varnish it both sides[?]
these are the little questions lol. my interior is looking a bit tired, the cupboard doors are ok and most of the framework but the rest is rotten[
!] im not sure what to do. my initial plan was to just replace the rotten bits with matching wood but you cant really match age [V] and i want to hide a few modern touches like a hidden compartment for a small telly (im thinking in the side of the wardrobe) or inset plug sockets with covers that make them pretty much invisible till needed. that sort of thing, thus keeping her looking standard [^]
im now thinking i may have a go at rebuilding the whole lot using the old interior as a template (my first real attempt at carpentry) that way i can hide what i want, where i want [^]
the big question is this [:0] i want her to be as original as possible so i should use oak face vaneer, but the more i think about it, the more i find myself thinking that the original interior would look fantastic in pine with green work surfaces (original design but green and pine not yellow and oak lol)
i cant seem to make my mind up so i thought i would ask for oppinions and go from there [^]
