Does anybody else have any probs getting insurance quotes??
I have managed 1.5 hours on the phone and got 3 stuuuuupidly expensive quotes, 3 " sorry we don`t cover American vehicles" (Dodge Spacevan)
and 4 "We`ll ring you back". click brrrrrrrrr.

These were all from classic veh insurance companies.
There is still a couple more to try but they`re only open during working hours, basically I can`t stand on the workshop floor for 45mins+ during the day.

Driving me mental.[:(!]

yup, im having probs because of my ban mate, they wont even give me quotes most of the time

Wouldnt be so bad but i have a clean licence with no accidents etc for 18years.

RH Specialists, I'm with them too. £90 unlimited mileage, with breakdown cover and I could have got it cheaper if I had restricted the mileage. I've also got my modern insured with them as they give a hefty discount for other vehicles:)

Current quotes are 288. 295. And 308 for 3,000 mile policy.

I would recommend '2gether' insurance based in Wisbech. You can google them. You can fill the form in online and then they'll e-mail you the quote.
I got so many ridiculous quotes from numerous companies when trying to find insurance for my van. Also found that many
online forms didnt have 'commer' as an option. There is an option to get a quote under the 'classic' category, however you
may find you get it cheaper if you choose 'campervan/motorhome' category.
I have found them very helpful over the phone. I got a quote for just over £100, 5000 miles, and this is my first year owning the camper.

I have commer & mini insured 2 policys
same as it cost for just the camper! & insured to drive anything else with owners permision :D They must have their car insured if you are wondering!

Peter James are very good, when I had Peggy with 3 other classics it was about £115 for all 4, agreed values, unlimited mileage, Euro breakdown etc etc.

Just had a very pleasant and helpfull phone call with RH Specialist. It resulted in a fully comp policy for pretty much 1/2 the price of everywhere else. Cheers.

they wouldnt touch me :( cheapest so far is adrian flux at 340.09 :(

insurance choice just called me, 160.00 fully comp, still a little steep but thats good enough for me i think. going to keep trying for a few days then may start it sat morning :)
