Indicator stalk

I think we need to replace the indicator stalk on Frodo. At the moment, it won't stick on when you are turning, or will stick on but won't switch off when you have stopped turning. Also the indicators don't work when the lights are on - seriosly reducing the night driving potential!

Anyone know of a suitable modern replacment?

Cheers,

could try this one :) or one from a later mini

Aha! I have found the part number - lucas 119sa

There appear to be some around, they are used on quite a few cars apparantly.

Gah! There are certainly a few of them around, and they are all different even though they have the same part number!!!!

Still trying to work out which specific one!

I think that is a generic Lucas number for the innards of the switch (like say the innards of an alternator) which was then put into different casings depending on application.

But I think you have 2 issues here:
1 is the wiring in the stalk itself.
2 is that the self-canceller isnt working, the self canceller is I think on the column itself rather than the stalk

Cheers

Bringing this topic back from the dead!!

OK, after several purchases from ebay which were no use, I tried the old stalk again, and found, lo and behold, that the lights do work - just - and it appeaqrs to be a voltage problem, ie not enough of it. Anyone got any suggestions?
