hi there chris where did you get these photos from of the scrap yard as thats a bt van like ive been looking for,have you been there resently or are these old pictures.:p:)
 
Hi woolfy, have mentioned you to fella that took this photo and asked where scrapyard was (and given forum a plug of course)
Well spotted Chris, love the other photos on these sets - wondered if neighbour mentioned in description on BT van 'down the road doing one of these up' was woolfy - that would be great:)

thanks again studio. actually looking back at those photos of that commer in the scrappy i think ive seen that photo before in a car mag somewhere but not sure where,i wouldnt mind that old morris van either,i bet there cant be many of them around now.;):p

well i am going to try my very hardest to be there for you are you kitted up with things like gas, wire, clamps, gloves, grinder with discs (not cd's he he) oh and bacon and bread!![}:)]:D
 
the welder ive got is not a gas welder its that special fluxed wire i think,and ive got to get some more tomorrow sometime, but dont worry i will be ready for you all.:p
 
yuk and oh no! can your welder accept gas and could you get one o them disposable bottles,(machine mart) the flux cored wire doesnt give a nice weld and if im gonna teach you i want it to look pretty and not have to be ground down thru embarrasment sorry its just im a perfectionist when it comes to welding and justifiably so cos its the only thing really i can do well.[V]
 
hi charlie ,i think the welder ive got is one which you can use both methods of.but i will have a look in the morning and let you know,as you can tell ive never done any welding before so you will have to bare with me,do you have any bits of welding gear that you can bring with you incase ive not got the right things that you may need.also which day were you going to plan on coming as i need to let others know by way of posting it on here. if there is anybody else reading this page from the forum who would like to join us this weekend for a welding day feel free to come on over to my place for some fun.food and refreshments will be laid on all day.my address is 27 hemsworth drive bulkington bedworth warwickshire cv12 9pe. if you are coming can you please leave a message on here to let me know so i can catter for that amount cheers.;):p
 
If you cut any more out of the side of your van woolfy, you can convert it for ice creams and hot dogs and cater for half the neighbourhood.
Would be there if I could, I can weld test pieces of metal on a nice work bench beautifully but need to develop my knowledge into the real world more to apply it to actual vehicles.
