I GOT IT!

All is fair in love and war;-)

It is the van that had the other Commer showing through the window next door. The white one with all the extras including tilley lamp/Awning/etc etc.
Nice van;-)

Really pleased for you Commer Girl, now you can take your little un away in it as you wanted to.

Exactly Comm-Don, you should have seen his face when i picked him up after school in it, i don't know who is more excited. Thanks for all your best wishes guys, i am still grinning now as i type this. Panky i shall pass on your remarks, and Woolfy i am sure i will be in contact, but may be a while (got to save up first ;)) I will try and get some pics asap!

Aww bless, my little boy loves our Van too. He's only 3 and loves sitting in the front. Calls it daddy's lorry. Have you made a cup of tea on your driveway yet? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Did you have to travel far to pick it up?

lol, no no cuppa yet, but now that you have put the idea into my head............... I didn't have to drive that far, the car was in Essex and i live in Croydon. [:x]

I sure did; I bit the bullet a couple of months after viewing her first time round (and am glad I did, really happy with her!).

Thanks. The price did put me off at first + all the work needed, but it's so original and unmolested/unbodged that it's worth it. It doesn't hide any of it's rust and I've been pleasantly surprised as I don't think it's as bad as I first thought (that's not normally the case with old cars!). Yeah, most my vehicles have been 50s/60s/70s metal so I'm no stranger to driving something old... but the Commer is still a unique experience; it's a great drive!

I used to go to Sinatras next to the Cartoon, but I'm not sure whether I should be admitting that!!

Well done commer girl, bet you chuffed as a badger! Seems like you've been searching a while. hope you have many a happy drive, few issues, learn shed loads, and lots of commerfun.

learning fast ,All's fair in love and Commers .Glad i took the pain and Commer Girl got her wee Commer at a realistic price.

Congrats..... I bet you are really excited now you have her home!!!!

Loads of happy summer hols :D

Big Monkey yes i did get your email about the bunks, i have a couple of questions though just been really busy of late, shall email you in a min with them. Cazz and everyone else, thanks for you wishes, i shall go out in a sec and take some pics.

Right guys now i have some serious questions, i am new to driving vintage vehicles and because of this i am a little worried, Connie passed her MOT two weeks before i purchased her, but i would like to have her checked over by someone who knows about vintage vehicles before i embark on any long distance trips with my little one. I was given alot of information when i bought her but to be honest with you it was so much i forgot nearly most of it. Does anybody know anyone who lives near me (Croydon) who would be willing to have a look at Connie for me?

Thanks

The chaps at Threeways Motors in Sutton are good guys and love their classics. I'm sure they'd be able to go over it and draw up a list of recommendations/advises etc etc. I'm sure there's other places closer to home mind.

P.S. We need pics!
