Humming noise

Hi all my LDV convoy RWD has developed a humming noise on the back when I get to 45mph and gets louder the faster I go, but if I take my foot off the gas it goes away. Has any one got any ideas, im thinking wheel bearing but That's just a shot in the dark
 
Yep sounds like the diff. Check the oil level but probably too late if it's run dry.
 
Not had a chance to get under it yet does any one have any idea what oil it needs if it is the diff oil. Can't really find much on line
 
Nice one for your help there's hardly any oil in it. Went to halfords its 80w-90 gl-5 diff oil if it help any. I could get a square socket any where round here for it, but I Found a ratchet extender fits perfect.
