How to switch from battery to gas?

Hi Andrew and welcome to this madhouse[8D] Congratulations on your new Commer, is it your first?
I'm no expert but usually you would run the fridge on electric (12volt) whilst driving then switch to gas when camping...you should have a switch somewhere?? almost every van is slightly different in the way they have been wired etc where they have been modded and changed over the years....what conversion is your van?
and of course we always ask.....have you any pics to share with us

Difficult to say with the 12v supply to the fridge, some run off a relay that supply power when the engine is running or you may just have a switch. There should be a gas tap somewhere for the supply to the fridge, an Autosleepers is on the floor in the cupbopard right in front of the fridge. Turn it on then push the white button in and hold it then spin the red button between thumb and forefinger, the button is connected to a flint at the pilot light and if it's intact the flame should light after a couple of goes. Mine's worn out so I use one of those long kitchen lighters. Hold the white button in for a couple of minutes once the flame is established to set the thermal cut out.

yes mine is the two tone blue commer, i am so pleased as i have been after one for ages. The gears are going to take some getting used to. I will have look aroung the commer to see if i can find the swith so everything can run off the gas when we are parked. Will add some photos soon.
