Holbay / Commer water pump the same?

Does anyone here know if the H120 water pump is the same as the commer unit?

Unless you make new engine mounts for the Holbay engine I think you will need to fit the Commer front plate complete with water pump to enable you to use the Commer mounting points. I know Paulfordy had the same problem fitting the Hunter GT engine to his Highwayman.

Hi jules,are you trying to find out if your holbay is genuine ? you have got both engines ?? can you not compare them??

Yes but I've been caught out before assuming parts are the same inside just because they are in the same casing. In the case of water pumps a 6vane and 12 vane impellers are in the same casing in many designs but 12 vane units being more efficient. Sometimes they even carry the same part number (with a suffix) but are a better internal design
