Highwayman

That's the sort of jokes I would expect to find in my Christmas crackers . Not in a highly intellectual and informative forum like this.
ps Why did the Commer cross the road ?

I do like that one; my favorite new joke I've heard:

A man walks in to cake shop:

'How much are your cakes?'
'99p - they're all 99p'
'what about that one?'
'it's 99p'
'...and that one?'
'99p, they're all 99p'
'what about that one there?'
'that's £1'
'I thought you said they were all 99p!'
'Yes but that's Madeira cake'

Highwayman on ebay. Looks good from the front, the rest is a matter of personal preference!

Hello folks, my girlfriend and I just became the proud owners of the chintz palace seen above. Neither of us have owned a commer before. She seems in really good shape and drove well. We will de-chintz a little and we will give her a full new paint job once summers out.
Can anyone tell me where to find interior equipment particularly a folding table leg? Also where I might find pics ofhighwayman interiors.

Hi Chris and welcome to the Madhouse:D
A nice van and with all that exposed metalwork you can see there's no damage, good and straight:) The interior isn't to everyone's taste but it has a certain charm - but you may have guessed from the comments we think it's a tad over the top, you may have also guessed we wander off topic now and again;) If you Google Commer Highwayman Interior a few decent images of the interior can be found including some brochure pics that may be of interest.
Why not come any join us at Commerfest at the end of the month so we can talk Kath Kidstone over a beer or two:)
If you fancy it contact me at [email protected] and I'll tell you how to purchase tickets.
Here's the link to the thread on the event

Martin Maltas is probably your best bet for a table, he's a long time member on here and supplies us with all our Commer needs - he's the man:D

Hi Chris and welcome. Well done on your purchase, great looking van. The interior just needs toning down a little:cool:, still very nice though.

Thanks Panky and Andrew for the welcome.
Thelma as the van has been dubbed has been significantly un-chintzed now and scrubbed out ready for our first run out at the weekend. We'll probably head down to Dorset.
Busy trying to read everything I can on Commers so any hints, tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated. Its a whole new world to us.

You will love it:)
But soon be realising one or two shortcomings;) Wont be long before you're pining for an overdrive and an SU conversion:cool:
