Hi Tor brochure

I've managed to track down an original brochure for our Commer Hi Tor. Sadly it's only 2 pages and not full colour either but we're still chuffed with this rare find :) as it shows the original layout etc which is really nice to know as our interior has been replaced at some point

I've got full-res versions if this is suitable to add to the archive.

BTW. I've also a 4 page colour Commer SunTor Major brochure which I'll also scan and post when I next find it

Thanks Martin,

Is there no limit to your skills ???

We're happy with the Auto Sleeper hybrid interior certainly for now.

Us fixing our peak :( and LPG conversion are hot favs at the moment for us.

Kes, I've got a "Bluebird Caravans Limited" 4-page brochure for the Highwayman (you'd guessed that already, I suppose) - dated October 1965.

I could scan it if you'd like it in your archive. It's the facelifted version with separate indicators and sidelights + grille (unlike mine). Like Klix, in fact. Want it ? [?]:)

Paul,

I LOVE that wacky pope-mobile glass bubble at the rear of the roof extension. How utterly crazy is that! :D

Imagine sleeping up there gazing at the stars when you cannot get to sleep. Superb! [^]

I'll scan the brochure as soon as I can find the time, and will mail it to you on your email, Kes.

Just remembered that I've also got a 3-page Highwayman test article from 1967 which is a jolly good read (for anoraks like myself, that is). Can't remember the content of the article that well, but do recall a couple of sentences saying that the top speed is impressive and that it keeps up with traffic without any problem at all. Yeah, right. If the rest of the traffic are horse carriages, maybe.. [:(!]

I'll send that off to you as well, and you can just chuck it out if you don't want it. :)

Pope mobile - ha, I like it :D

Yep, the stars are wonderful ... But the early morning sun after a late night is not so much fun ;) Must arrange some curtains for 2009

If the sun is waking you up through your roof bubble in the morning you're either asleep til midday or over enthusiastic on the cornering the night before to leave roof facing east [}:)];):D

would love a clear roof section in Bessie - love my starlit nights and used to enjoy camping in my car with the sunroof open, got a bit soggy if raining by morning though:I

Big yes please Jostein - it's all good & very welcome[8D]

hi Paul goldsmith was it you we met at stone henge after glastonbury ?
If so i tried to email off your profile but to no avail - hows your van

Hi Lancelot, yes it was me and my wife Sally at Stonehenge - just replied to another post of yours about this year's festival.

Sorry to hear your van's poorly but sounds like you've got it in good hands.

Our van's in storage over winter, while we source upgraded parts such as alloy headed engine, overdrive gearbox, RC 40 exhaust. The hope is for some more 'grunt' and longer legs to enable to do more than 30mph up the hills in Somerset [:0] The queues we led we most embarrassing :I

I'm watching Panky's peak repairs closely, we need to do the same and have a replacement Hi-Tor roof with both perspex sections intact to put on too.

BTW: My email is [email protected]
