Hi Martin, yes i still have my van, trouble is nothing much has been done to it for over a year.
I`ve just been back over the archives of the site, and it was back in October 2005 when you and i started the ball rolling on Readers Rides. Don`t time fly when your having fun.
My van has had a coat of paint but i was not happy with the results. It was supposed to be Off-white with a blue metallic fleck in it. The guy who should have done the paint was not available when the boss wanted the van gone.(it had been there for over a year taking up space in the paintshop) So he got a trainee to paint it over a weekend, the result was a plain white with no fleck, and the guy hadn`t finished the prep.
I was livid when i went to pick it up, i reluctantly paid a very reduced price and will never return there again.
It has since been under cover at work, as i dont have a garage and only a very crowded garden shed. I had lost interest over this time, but reading everyone else`s progress on their Rides i may get back in the shed and make an attempt to start again this year.
