Hi Pablo and thanks for the photo, it all adds to the history of lulu
The picture makes the van look like the roof has been lowered and the van widened to give her a sporty look. That could be the next project for somebody with the knowledge, like Woolfy, but not with lulu just yet I hope.

Also she looks to have a couple of badges on the front and a row of badges in the front window and it looks like she might have a name under the top grill but I can't make it out. I'll have to get in touch with Gary to see if he remembers what they are.

les that looks like a brass auto sleeper badge under the top grill , there was 1 on e-bay not too long ago [8D]

it disappeared quick though ;)

Hi David and thanks for that information. My first van didn't have one but I've just been back and had a look at the pictures of Lulu and it looks like she still has the badge.

Not just any green, oh no! this is British Racing green which makes any vehicle go faster and Woolfy is sworn to secrecy about the number of the colour as I know that you'd all be rushing down to Coventry to get your vehicles done in that brilliant colour. Anyway if it was good enough for Lotus racing cars with Jim Clarke driving, then it's good enough for me. Ups sorry, most of you will be too young to have heard of Jim Clarke.[^][^]

Sorry about the tartan David but it would have to be McArthur or Leslie tartan and if I'm OK for going out for a drink this Saturday I shall be wearing the kilt and the natural way, in case anybody wondered.[8)]

For those of us young enough to remember Jim Clark, are you going to have a yellow surround to the air intake with a stripe over the top?
