Na its not holding up the car port. Its just covered in boxes full of rotting crap haha.

Funny enough I put this pic on my facebook and someone from the mini club I am a member spotted it and said he knows someone who has one sat on his drive. He said it has been there a long time though. Anyway hes gonna get me some details and I may pop over and take a look at that one. So thats currently 3 just sitting on drives rotten I know of.

Typical isn't it, you wait forever and three come along at once - that never happens:I

Well not heard anything back yet so may have to go and have anouther knock this weekend as I am in the area! Fingers crossed I get it. It's such a nice looking van. I would try and keep it looking like that if I can and just to the minimum stuff to get it road legal. I like the idea of a tatty camper and I would not be worried about chucking everything in it and scratching the paint. Used and abused is the way too go!

Well still no luck on the commer front but I will still keep looking. In the mean time me and the old man now have this to sink out teeth in too!

Many thanks.

No its a Countryman as shown on Austin and Morris brochures, the Travellers had plain sides without the timber trim and were also sold under the same names....Austin and Morris:)

Right well update time on this one! I have been keeping an eye out on here and on ebay for commers and do keep trying that blue one. Still can't find who owns it though. Anyway on a Facebook page I was tagged in my pic of a commer by a mate of mine. Anyway from this someone spotted I lived local to him and that he had a commer and asked if I wanted to come and have a look. SO I went round there and chatted for ages and he showed me over his commer. He is on here so thanks Mark! That gave me the kick I needed to find one again. Still having no luck with the blue one I thought I would try the white one in Basingstoke despite it looking really bad. I knocked on the house with no answer. Boooo. Anyway. Basingstoke has a Facebook page called 'Spotted Basingstoke' you messages the admin and they will post the message up for you for everyone to see. So I thought worth a shot. I asked to to put

'Does anyone know who lives in the bungalow next to the football stadium just off Brighton Hill Roundabout? There is a old commer camper van sat on the drive way and has been for years. I tried knocking in the door but got no answer and I would like to see of the owner would sell it.'

To my surprise someone saw it and tagged the people who live there within an hour.

and not long after that another comment was put up from the owner.

"That van has not moved in years, definately nobody driving it, I am sure for the right price it could be yours, feel free to knock again or put a note with your number through the door & I'll ensure you are called back"

So i have work off 2moz and and off too see if I can get me a commer van. Don't you just love the power of Facebook.

If you'd left a note you wouldn't have needed the help of FB - how did people manage before?! :D
