after finding my latest project on EBAY..!!!!

the lovely owner delivered her.. and to my surprise even drove her off the trailer…

OFF TO A GOOD START…

had a quick look over her and my GOD… Halfords must have sold out of filler..

underneath she aint too bad but someone used a paintball gun to fill the roof…

fitted a new handbrake cable today.. sorted out the bad roof and gave it a fresh lick of coach paint BLACK..!!!![:eek:)]

THE PLAN

We are going to use this Beauty as our company promotional vehicle…

not looking to completely restore it or even spend any MONEY…hahaha yer right!!

but i plan to hand paint / sign write it..

has anyone got any experience in doing this any tips or advice…

gonna be using coach enamel on the metal not sure what to use on the wood yet as it has got varnish over it????

IM AM AFTER A COUPLE OF BITS.. HERE COMES THE MONEY..!!!!!

i need to replace the funnel that sits behind the heater matrix as it backed and filling the cab floor up with water.. if i can't replace this whats the solution….

i also need an upper grill as one of the bars is snapped.

also need all new window rubbers/seals where and who's best to buy from...
 
Sounds like you got a bargain, all that free filler;)
Martin Maltas should have all the bits you need, he's the one for seals and second hand (and new) bits.
Ahhh someone has forgotten to squeeze their bulbous end[:0] That's the drain off the heater box;) It gets blocked and the bottom of the heater rots out[xx(] If you look behind the main grille on the front you should be able to see it sticking down. As you don't want to spend any money (who does:I)you can block off the intake behind the small grille to stop the rain getting in. Great to see a light commercial actually being used as a commercial vehicle[8D]
Oh yes the size of your pics, just turn down the picture resolution on your camera:)

sweeeet. I love the front visor

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.
 
If i want to replace the drain where would i find one…
someone has already tried to block the top grill by using beautiful silver gaffer tape….(the life of a professional bodger)

If it's missing, and the bottom of the heater box still has the spout on it, either Martin will have one or you can get a suitable piece of plastic pipe, stick it on and poke it through the hole in the floor. I seem to remember the flexibly plastic stuff they use on sink overflows fits:)

haha NA its the communal carpark under my flat..
the neighbours love it.. filler sandpaper rattle cans they haven't seen my welder yet…lol

na the bottom of the heater box is totally rotten out..!!!!! HELP asked martin and doesn't have one..!!!

Woolfy might be able to help, failing that a big funnel and a piece of hose:I
It is possible to repair them, I had the same problem an welded it up, fiddly but it worked:)

So Now have the brakes and everything sorted for the mot… only for it to fail on metal work…LETS GRAB OUT THE WELDER.. here comes the fun.

anyone got any old panels / off cuts lying around they want rid of? still after a front grill and top grill as well.

all the welding is under the front cab just below the door shuts..! anyone got any advice on how to tackle this area?

Can't help with the off-cuts sorry but this is how I tackled it with new panels from Martin M. You should get the idea of how things go together if you're just patching things up.
It carries on for a few pages between the chat and the other side starts on page 167 - hope it is of some use to you.

So Been a while.!!! and a real pain in my ass, but what classic cars aren't.!!!

Spent many hour laying under the comma welding..(o how i miss the old ramp) welding upside down above your face is a Bi%$h.!!!

all welded up enough to get her through The MOT. all new brake lines fitted and a brake bias valve fitted so now the rear end doesn't lock up under braking.!! Wishing i'd fitted a remote servo TBH.

also had some wheel adaptors made in america (cheaper to get from america and shipped than buy in the uk...funny hay) so she is now sitting on 17" alloys..(£150 off eBay with tyres which i thought was a right result)

Jobs left to do. Ordered a gasket set as the inlet manifold is leaking.. is this easy to do any advice or tips?

and The biggest issue.... she keeps cutting out.!!! fine on tick over and just plodding along but as so as i try to get her up to a decent speed she coughs and splutters...then eventually dies... and does start again to well. My guess after reading many many forum posts i have the dreaded SKANE SKIN.!!!!

o and when i filled her up with fuel i got pulled over 300 yards up the road because i was pissing petrol all over the place.....on inspection the breather pipe was not connected, and the filler hoses are a real BODGE JOB.. 2 parts are electoral taped together.!!! COWBOY CENTRAL....
