Hi.
Firstly Hello...only joined the Forum last week after years of looking in...
Purchased a 1962 Walk Thru a few weeks ago and can't identify the engine correctly...
Logbook and history of MOT say's it's a 1600 Petrol but keep getting told it's more likely the 2200cc Humber engine.
No visible markings. Took some pictures today and hope they are of help.
Would really appreciate any pointers.
Thanks Paul.

Done a bit of digging and the only info I can find is this list of Hawk engine numbers, you just need to find an engine number.

Hi Panky.
Thanks for the reply.
Just had a light bulb moment and ran to the V5...unfortunately no Engine number listed, only Chassis number KAB4023/000519
Hopefully I'm moving the van up the yard and into workshop this week so will have a much better chance to crawl all over the engine and come up with something.
Thanks again...Paul.

I have a Walk Thru technical manual here somewhere if you wanted it? Donated by someone who had one many years ago into the trust of the club until someone needed it?

Hello Paul, I just joint the Forum today.
I hope you have already the answer on your question.
Your engine is the 4P.138 petrol engine.
Four cylinder overhead valve unit. 81 mm bore and 110 mm stroke.
Displacement 2266cc.
It is the same engine which is in my BF Commer 3023 original motorhome from 1959.
Best regards, Albert.
