Help! Stuck In It's Clutches...

Got in the Commer at the weekend, she hasn't moved for five months and nobody will be surprised to hear she started up first go. :)

However, I put my foot on the clutch and nothing happend except the grinding of the gears; I guess the plate was rusted to the fly wheel. Pumping the pedal again has obviously pushed the slave cylinder/lever arm as far back as it will go and the pedal is now locked solid. Strangely, when I got back in the vehicle, the plate seems to have freed itself so I can now move between gears but of course there is no drive as the clutch is depressed "open", even though the pedal is still locked solid in the "closed" position at the top of it's travel... Any suggestions?

Thanks peeps!

So did I.
Does not take long though.
I'd watch out for the clutch dust. It might contain asbestos in these old things.
