sorry picture didnt load , it's the hands on a smiths temp gauge, I think it's for oil and water but one of the hands is broken off , I am just wondering would it affect the reading of the remaining hand, i am not near the van till later so will post a picture then

They are separate but if it’s been dropped or poked it could be broken overall I guess. Also if the hands missing and can’t be seen it could maybe be inside jamming the other one? All speculation though
 
thanks , jimberlake , I can see the other hand that fell off , i will check it again when i put a new stat in , and see how its reading then , Any suggestions on best rust remover killer ,or something that can be applied and painted over, mainly surface rust on the outer body eork
 
Kurust is applied as if it was paint, I have also applied it with a squirty bottle. One of the Jenolite products was good but you need to dampen the area and then wash it off. I didn’t wash it off and ended up with black streaks when it rained. Worth reading instructions before buying etc.
