Help!! MARTIN MALTAS

ok that doesnt read help martin maltas although im sure he wouldnt mind an extra pair of hands, no this is an appeal martin for info on king pins as the one you supplied me has just failed mot again,:(:(:([xx(][?] (all seemed to go together tight but once at mot station was slack as![V])are the pa, pb, and dodge pins the same size[?]

There are 2 different part nos for the kits 5200326 and 75201002 [?]
Although all the ones I have are the same.
Did you see where the play was [?] Did you get all the washers in [?]
The only thought I had, was there could be some play in the stub axle carrier, which is not bushed [xx(] This does not swivel, as it has the cotter pin through, but that dosn't mean it's not worn.
How come you're MOT'ing now, is it not due in the summer [?] or have I just lost track of time [|)]

we had borrowed a workshop manual and had exploded diagram of washers and things so every thing went in in right order and the bushes went in tight to the leg and the pin went in tight through the hub and the bushes seemed a good fit to the pin but now the play is between the pin and bushes top and bottom, we are still trying to get the first mot on the thing since buying it last year.

Try pumping a load more grease in, otherwise I'm stumped, because with new pin and bush, there should be no play [V]

tried that to no avail the only thing i noticed was the cotter pin seemed to be a bit smaller so where the end of the old one sat flush with the hub the new one now sits quarter of an inch inside the hub when the nuts tightened but i cant see that making much difference cos its only there to stop rotation, think i need to adapt something modern to do cos getting really sick of this old sh*te

I bet it's play in the carrier. I know its a task, but strip it down and check the pin in the carrier. If its slack, I've got another carrier. ;)

controversial[:0] mrs chris you see tis my uncle moting charlie and hes right the wheel is hanging off i have seen it with my own two eyes[8)]more play now than the original mot fail! days of hard work, wet, tired, smashed fingers and money spent for nowt. my only option is to rip the lot off and moddify something modern with proper ball joints and disc brakes to fit cos this is just making me depressed:(

nath are you sure a bush has not come adrift or dropped out [?]

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off no.3"

sounds like a frustration. Will a cup of Tea and view if from another angle, help ? Sorry I wish i knew what you were talking about but unfortunately i dont but want to help!!

thanks lancealot but unfortunately even if you did know what we are on about there is only room for one in a commer front wheel arch, ive been thinking martin that you are right that it is the carrier ( the leg that has the cotter pin in) and would like to know what condition yours is in and how much you want for it inc postage[?] also thanks for your time and help

Martin could you please email me your address and what money you need for the new carrier and the postage to Gloucester,(would a cheque be ok[?]) thanks again for all your help, your like a big commer grandfather to us all:D:I
