hello long time no post....

hello everyone

it has been a long time since we last posted and really have no excuse except life been very busy.

Sam (son) and Huw (hubby) both heavily into triathlons and that takes up pretty much every weekend now -either through training or competitions. which brings me to why i am posting.

we are thinking - and i stress the word thinking of selling toby (formally known as Mr Chico)i cant beleive i am even writing this [V]. but after three great summers with him including a trip around scotland, he is just not getting any use and it seems sad for him just to be left. so i was wondering how are vans selling, have prices changed much? we did have a dealer type guy last year offer us 3,500 out of the blue on a campsite, he gave us his number if we ever wanted to sell but (i know this sounds silly) but i would like to know where he is going? anyway all just thoughts at the moment....

hope everyone happy and well

jules, huw and sam

Hi Julie, nice to hear from you and sorry to hear you are thinking of selling. Prices are rapidly on the up, I think the dealer offered a fair dealer price, but the retail will be 1000-1500 higher ;)

hi martin, lovely to hear from you. can't believe the price rise - although to be fair they are worth every penny:)

still very undecided its a massive leap as will love the van so much and coming back onto the forum brings it all back home. sam won't even let us discuss it when he's around-but likewise its such a shame for such a great van to be sitting doing nothing - decisions decisions......

I'm into Triathlons too, I particularly like the nutty chocolate ones:)
Don't be daft with all this talk of selling, what better way to relax after a hard triath than to spend some quality time in your Commer - what a way to wind down[8D]

i know its such a hard decision and made harder by being back on the forum and seeing the vans. will def not be rushing into anything but just seems a shame for him to sit there not being used as he should be :(

will keep you all posted you will be first to know if he does go up.

Simple solution, use the little chap, if only for the shopping:)

Hi there, don't think we ever met or spoke before? Do yourself an injustice and sell the van or as Panky says, use it for shopping or just simply mooching down to your local park;) If you are not needing the money desparately i'd just keep. They're are on the rise so you will always be in profit. I'd keep it and go to the next available meet and then see how you feel:) Good luck whatever you decide!
