Hello Im New

Hi Tim and Julie and welcome to the Madhouse:D
I heard you had a bit of bother trying to join our happy bunch, so glad you succeeded in the end:)
OK formalities over now show us yer van;)

Uploaded some pics of collecting her (shes called F-Hey) and dropping her off at the yard ( Julie (gf) brought Graham the green very fast mini van - her business whip)

Almost complete inside, but needs some tasteful renovation. Full mechanical overhaul and some much needed bodywork. Included some pics of the dreaded tin worm. Got a new back door and new rear panel, but any guidance on where to get the bits above the cab doors, and the underpeak would be invaluable.

Plan is to get it mot'd and solid, then spray, skim original head a bit and fit unleaded seats and a general clan up and use..... then maybe a RWD vw tdi engine that ive been thinking of.

Jon Leake made me do it....

You made it to the forum! Welcome. Well excited for you guys to get this on the road, We can have a mini show commer van take over woo,

Also nice sidelight lens cap wheels centre haha,

Welcome to the club you two and also to someone else who's battling away with a crusty old commer. I went the same way going for mot then start with the tidy up. Is yours a 67 as well?

Welcome! Many folks don't bother with the unleaded conversion; given the lower mileage most vans do the additive isn't too much of a problem to put in on fill-up (vs cost of converting) especially if you're going for a different engine long term

Have to agree, I run all my cars on unleaded and don't bother with additives. Unless you're doing mega miles or towing a dirty big caravan regularly then the head will be fine, good idea to open the valve gaps an extra thou or two to compensate for the extra heat generated by unleaded though.

I used to use redex every time I filled up. I never did many miles so my old van always ran fine.

Hi Tim and Julie, welcome to the madhouse. Whatever issues you come across, I'm sure you will find that someone on here has already faced it and can offer you advice. However, I have not come across a horn push quite like yours!
