Anybody got one in better condition that they could sell me?, i dont mind one that needs some repair...

Anybody?

If i feel so inclined i may take mine off the van and take a photo of it. Mine was almost as rusty until the fabrication dept at work got to work on it.lots of plating was required but it came up a treat, they welded on a new down pipe, fixed the springs, added a bit of foam padding and even painted it black for me.
Almost like new.

Here's another useful tip from the house of Panky. Plug up the hole in the front panel (the rectangular one not the rust holes) and put a wood burner on the engine lid - simple :D:D;)

No, the radiation from the overheating engine kept me warm [V], but me new motor will solve that :D. In one of the 'shake down runs' to Anglesey I came back with the heater full on in high summer in an attempt to run the engine cooler, it worked. I think I lost about half a stone in sweat [xx(]

I'm getting a bit worried what I might find actually, the air inlet flap on mine looks decidedly dodgey (Commery?) and I wonder what challenges lie beneath [:0]

My heater box was the same so I have decided to use a 12v Heater I found ebay attached to the the matrix housing. Im fitting it where the matrix was and putting a ali surround on to direct the air into the box. Still in progress at the mo it's a bit fiddley. But the plan is it'll blow to the screen or if you open the flaps it may produce some gentle warming to the feet.

Sounds like a good conversion. I've noticed one or two of these heaters on ebay in the past, aren't they made by Phillips and normally fitted to Minors and the like [?]

I made the housing today and have got it all mounted under the dash. It's not exactly blowing a gale it's about the same as number 1 on a normal car. Only time will tell if it is man enough for the job!
