Heater airbox

I hope it's not too hard to squeeze 
considering putting this as a skill on my C.V. 'commer bulb squeezer'[8D]
I wont be able to cos I can't reach it [8)]

Just happened to have a spare kicking about [}]
The pipe is about 12ins long, if you squeeze the bulb at the bottom, it lets out the trapped water. This one has had the rear of the bulb cut out to allow water to flow freely.

I Think I am going to cut mine off [:0] sounds like an appendix not of any use what so ever apart from a little light entertainment [^]

I presume it stops damp air being drawn up from below and only from the vent [?]
I will go & sit in the naughty corner & read up

Hi Paul,I am in the process of rebuilding my heater box, i have come to a halt with the rod assembly in the centre. Mine was so rotten that i can't work out how it operates. If yours is still working or if you got the new one that was offered, could tell me or by photo/diagram what goes where. Many thanks.

Have you considered a generic smiiths heater. EG from Mini, MGB, Spitfire or most other 60s 70s Brit cars with shallow bulkheads?
