looking for a cheap solution to petrol evaporating want to put something between engine and pipes ect '' Fire blanket cut into strips or welders gloves cut to size?

I’ve brought this looks neat n tidy when fitted and I’ve run it between the lift pump and carb

I've played with heat sleeving in my van for the gear cable, the best stuff is the Goodrich stuff. The cheaper stuff acts more like an oven.
