At the tidying up stage and looking for these so we don't have to put the (c)rusty ones back on. Anyone got any available for a reasonable price?

Mainly as we would quite like to try and fit some of these to Smurf....Not sure if they will fit though...[?]

Or maybe these from ebay... says for classic mini, but i think i remember someone saying that the light size on commer was the same, have emailed them asking size :D

i was going to say i think they are the same size as th mini head light rings, if so there will be plentyfullof them.;)

hello, Our van (Jessica) has mini halogen lights on which fit fine.You should be fine with mini chrome rings. Panky can probably confirm!

its pretty much a straight swap cazz, there is 2 different types of connector, if you get the lights with wrong one then you just change the connector on the van loom :)

think so cazz - hard to tell whether they actually come with the bulbs or not though?

Had mine fitted while electrician gave everything the once over and he added a relay for them (as also recommended by Jules I think?)

Thanks all,. I looked at ebay once years ago and it worried the heck out of me....looks like I may have to bite the bullet and trust it
 
Don't worry about the bay - where would we be without it.
The rims are the same size but the Mini version has a hole in the underneath for a fixing screw, can't find the Commer ones at the mo' but from memory I thing they just push on. I don't think it will be a problem - you might just need to drill a hole in the carrier to take a self-tapper.

im pretty sure that they are the same mart, as i found out a few years ago at a classic car show at the nec,that they were also the same as the mk 2 jaguar rims. i went to one stall to buy some which were listed as mk 2 jag rims which were £40.00 for the pair, then a man tapped me on my shoulder and wispered i my ear that they were used on many different vehicles including the minis. i went to another stall and found some for £18.00 which were mini ones. just goes to show how these things get marked up in price depending on vehicle;)
