i have not long had a commer on the road i am finding it hard to get it in 1st gear is there a nack to it or do i need to do something like bleed the clutch it feels ok mind?

I don't have it to hand as I'm away at the moment but I recall that the handback I have states that pulling away should be done using second gear and that first is reserved for starts on steep hills or when the van is heavy laden.
Not sure what you'd do about starting off heavy laden on a steep hill Apart from reverse down and go around !!!
Also states that first gear should be engaged occassionally when stationary to stop it becoming stiff.
Agree that topping the fluid up is a good move though

Yes the Handbook does state pull away in 2nd [}]I didn't need to check [:0] I have been trying to do this very hard to change the habit of a life time.I haven't driven Ran since just before the 20 february [:0]
