Well where does a newbie begin? I guess a cheery Happy New Year is a good place to start. I didn't think I was really a forum kinda guy, (I'm possibly the only person left in the world not on Facebook or Twitter,) but it looks like I've been missing out! The bit about the padded cell seems about right, so I've donned my bubblewrap pants, poured a Guinness and joined the fray.
I've actually owned my '68 PB Autosleeper for about a year now. She looks like a pink and purple Battenburg cake on wheels, and no I didn't do it! She's in pretty good original shape but will be getting a full resto very shortly. Looks like sirs Maltas and Woolfy will be accustomed to the colour of my cheques before long. The good thing about driving the Commer is that my other baby, a 1966 Morris Traveller (hence the username) now feels like a Caterham! Will put up piccies of both soon.
Right, enough from me for the mo.

Thanks guys, what a friendly bunch! I'm well impressed by the depth of technical knowledge here too.
Mmmm Caterham Traveller eh Panky? Well I've seen the Rover K series lump (1.6/1.8) in both so it's a possibilty. Mine still has the 'throbbing' 48 bhp 1098 - with an alternator, weeeee! I have lowered the front end 3" and the rear 2", put Marina discs on the front and junked the old lever arm dampers in favour of gas struts all round. Been tempted by a twin cam but she's too nice to cut up. One day I'll get round to rebuilding the 1275 Midget motor in the garage. Now if I could just find a Shorrocks blower . . . Had a friend once who came back from an aerojumble with a Spitfire cabin pressurising pump which he fitted to his A series!!
I'm getting carried away, I must be sounding like a secret agent for the Morris Minor Owners Club!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Battenburg is served. With a side order of Moggy. Here's some piccies I promised you - which photobucket has resized differently despite my best efforts! The first couple were taken at the Vintage at Goodwood event.

As you can just see from this shot I've got a short rigid lever on the dash rather than a long floppy one on the floor cos it's an auto (hope no-one has a filthy mind tee hee). I gather that makes it quite rare as well as slow!
Now for a spot of Moggy.
The last one was taken at the Goodwood motor circuit on a set they built for the Revival historic racing festival. I'm sure that event needs no introduction to fellow petrolheads. I'm lucky enough to live only 6 miles from Goodwood so that is an annual pilgrimmage for me, and an absolute 'must do' for anyone who's not been.
Anyway, hope you like my beasties.
