Handbrake advice

Hi, im trying to get the font brake up to the best effiency i can, ive renewed the whole system, yet the nearside lacks slighty on the handbrake.hAs anybody come across this before?, and if so what was the remedy?.Ive tried adjusting on the adjuster but to no avail.
I dont want the MOT man picking on me for something as simple.

Hi Paul have you tried the adjustment on the outer cable itself. Have a look at the equaliser (the triangular piece that joins both the secondary cables together) and see if it is sitting square. If it is one sided then one of the cables will be under more tension than the other causing an imbalance.

Also make sure the service brake is in balance and adjusted, before adjusting the cables.
