I'm Brambly Croaker!

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

'John's Prank Hut' is an anagram of your name and should be the name for your garage!

'Back of the Prank Hut' has a certain poetic ring to it - not;)

Are you using that program all public sector departments use to turn normal words and sentences into endless strings of meaningles gobbledygook:I

Nope, but I like Brambly Croaker as my new name! Not sure if I should hyphenate it and use as a double-barrelled surname, "I'm one of the Hampshire Brambly-Croakers don'tcha know!"

Hi,
Spoke to a couple of van owners at the NEC 2012 Classic Car Show regarding a picture of Commer’s at the old factory site in Dunstable that I had seen in my local paper (Dunstable Gazette), by coincidence one of the guys had a street map of Dunstable in his hand...

· You may want to look at the link to a video showing the vans on the production line, only a few minutes at the start tho..
·
· Thanks to "Timothy David Olsen" for bringing this wonderful film of Dunstable to our attention, it is well worth a look, some great video of the Commer factory, the crossroads, Queensway Hall, Priory Church, Saracens Head, Dunstable Downs and Whipsnade Zoo...http://www.eafa.org.uk/catalogue/205999 ......."Dunstable may no longer hold the reins but it can drive and is driving now"

Loving the organised chaos of all the parts stored outdoors, probably rusty before they went near the vans

Hasta la supervista baby

That's the video I posted up at least a couple of times, including somewhere on this thread.

It's a shame the Dunstable gazette never bothered to tell me they were going to use my picture and text, 'cause I would have gone an bought a copy...... I generally only go to Dunstable for welding supplies these days and avoid it like the plague.

Think I also have sussed out where the actual main entrance to the factory was now - maybe next time.

A:)

It was me with the map in my hand -the co-incidence I reported on the 22 Nov! The map was one I bought in the early 1970's when I was teaching engineering at a school in Dunstable - It clearly shows the Commer factory on the site where we parked. I must have driven past hundreds of times without a second glance - my family didn't buy Clarabel until 1979.

Memories are made of this! As midnight approaches - if you've got Pumkin withdrawal symptoms have a look at page 7 - Mr Panky's the master - (Much better than Autumn Watch on the BBC!)
What an amazing weekend! - A bit chilly though - Happy Haloween from Mike/Clarabel and Co.
