Goodwood Revival - Yeah baby!

Bugatti Type 54, Maserati 6CM, Jaguar D-Type, Ferrari 250 GTO, Commer PB. All names that stir the soul and all on the guest list for this years' Goodwood Revival. We've done it! We're in! Daisy has been invited for display inside the circuit at this years' Revival! The Telegraph sell newspapers from a slighlty ratty converted Highwayman which I believe lives at the circuit, but other than that, this is the first time a PB has been invited as a display vehicle.

As you may imagine I'm more chuffed than a chuffed thing at a chuffed convention. I will admit to a little arm twisting, I pointed out that my Dad was a very early member of the Goodwood Supporters Association (the precursor to the current Goodwood Road Racing Company), and in his Local Councillor capacity spent some considerable time lobbying the Secretary of State (during the planning processes) to re-open the circuit. This together with Daisys obvious charms must have done the trick. I got a message "we’d be absolutely delighted to include ‘Daisy’ within the event. She looks fantastic, and is very much in keeping with what we want to achieve."

Hopefully I can get some more piccies like this:

If any of you good folks are going perhaps we could arrange to meet up somewhere?

I'm currently doing the best I can for another member whose van is under consideration for display. I couldn't possibly divulge who that may be, but let's hope that Lord March has a TV Licence........

Brilliant [8D] And you even managed it without changing your name to Moss or Surtees ;)

Thanks for the kind words guys. I can't take all the credit for the way Daisy looks, Mr M did a fantastic job before me. I have been busy though, and as soon as there was the slightest chance of the invite it meant all those 'get round to it' jobs had to be done plus a bit.

The bumpers are currently being re-chromed (they've suffered since those pics), inside of pop top being restored, carpet being laid front and back, bunk brackets being painted, a fabric covered panel being made for inside of the front panel, window seals replaced, woodwork revarnished, various screws/bolts/catches painted/replaced etc etc.

Would love to meet up for a coffee Bernie, it'll be good to put faces to names, anyone else going? :) I like your cunning idea Tim, I think Martin Moss has a ring to it! [8D]

Just for Jim, here's another shot of Martha (picture 1 - far right) ;):D

Oh yes I quite like the 'extras' too! Perhaps we should try and meet up with Bernie and Heidi for a drink and a chat?

Daisy will be parked next to the Motor Circuit Shop near the entrance to the vehicle tunnel that leads to the infield. The shop is a funny shaped building with a raised centre section in the roof where they used to hang parachutes when it was a WW2 airfield.

Hi Martin
