If JE Aldous is out there thanks for the story [^], I think those of us who have driven a PB along 'serious' roads can appreciate your very entertaining words. Come to think of it is the van still out there [?]

Was wondering if anyone on the forum had any epic commer journeys they remember - bessie came down from Scotland to West Wales with her previous owner but has only done local runs with me.

Whats' your story[?]
 
studio,sounds like bessie needs a blast [}:)]get your motor running... ,sung that all the way to martins & all the way back,well in between some dire straits :DI must remember to put the rest of the collection in"Ran"for the next journey.lol,did you know short runs are not good for them another one for the naughty corner [:0]

Blast would be great, local runs here are 30-50 miles so sort of counts. Had a trip out this weekend back down to my favourite beach - bessie chargin along for most of it but still having some funny 5 minutes with fuel supply.[xx(]
 
Most of my excursions have been around north Wales and Derbyshire. Travelling the coast road and encountering Rhualt hill near St Asaph for the first time was interesting. Ended up struggling over the crest doing 15 mph in second [:0]. Tried to judge the approach on later occasions, foot to the floor for a mile before the hill but always ended up crawling over the top. Still it added to the excitement and we always got there in the end :D
