Gloss, satin or matt.

Hi I have decided to hand paint my commer because I just can't afford to spray it, I am going to use the roller and dry brush teqnique. You will pleased to hear my comme is going back to her original colour, beige. What finish do you think will be he best gloss, satin or matt? The paint I am using will be rust-oleum.

I would go for the gloss finish myself. If the paint is both primer and top coat then you shouldn't need an under coat, probably just and extra coat to cover the what's beneath.

Did you click those links i put up Andrew? I'm doing my van the same way. I'm about 2 coats from complete! Rustoleum doesn't need a primer. I'm using the roller method so not much advice regarding brush apart from get yourself an old fridge to practice lots on before you touch the van Brushing technique is somewhat of an art that you don't grasp overnight. Youtube throws up some decent info and illustrations. Good luck ;)

Hi comm-don, yes I have looked at the links. I am going to use the boat teqnique as I think this will give me a good finish. I used to be a painter so I have all the materials, I just have to remember I'm not painting soffits :D

Did you get my email Andrew? How did the re-paint go, any pics?

I started with nothing.....and I still have most of it!

as far as I'm aware the PM system is still not working unless anyone knows better/;)
