Started early this morning got the side panels primed

While waiting for these to dry I took the Piano hinges off Gladys, got some new ones a couple weeks ago but could only find 6 footers bought 3, will cut one down,

Then started work on the roof section and guess what I found [?]
yes more rotten wood.

So off to local wood shop and purchesed a couple pieces of ply.

Spent the rest of the afternoon making a new end panel so am now a little behind and to top it all I have to go to work tomorrow the first Sunday for about 4 years

Uhhh, I've just finished playing this game. The side flaps were not too bad on mine but the wooded support frame inside the roof was pretty bad and needed replacing. But it's well worth it. I see you had the same problem getting full length piano hinges I bought 6Ft hinges and cut them down to 4Ft and fitted two on each side. I have just had mine re-sprayed and there will be photos to follow soon. Are you fitting new window rubbers if so where did you get yours from and how much did you have to spent? Cause I'm not sure whether to fit mine inside out as the rubber is better but not sure whether that's a good idea if they are readily available.

Hi Andy I am reusing the old rubbers as they are in fairly good condition,
We are lucky that the rot was in the side panels not in the van itself like yours, Martin is the man for new rubbers,

Progess is slow I seem to be taking one step forward and two back, My spray painting skills seem to have gone down hill since last year, I have had more runs than the London Marthon ,

As for the painting I have had to strip one of the side panels down again and is now waiting to be painted again, and poor Gladys has to spend another night out side with no roof on
